Important notes before you book
Please let us know if you want to enjoy vegetarian options during the class. For other common dietary requirements like vegan, gluten free, dairy free please ask before booking as some dishes will not be suitable and cannot be changed due to the authenticity of the dishes and the experience of fellow participants.
Our kitchen and all tools are shared by participants and cross-contamination is therefore possible. Classes are NOT suitable for participants with SEVERE and life-threatening allergies.

How can I book a cooking class?Some classes will be bookable directly online from our website but many are 'on request' and managed directly by our team. Simply contact us to book your desired class at +39 0141 184 7047 or email us accademia@adagio-calamandrana.it. You can also book private classes for a group of friends or a business/work event and team-building activity. Contact us to find out what we can do!

What cooking classes are available?Our primary classes single-session classes, typically for 3-4 hours in a morning or afternoon, with lunch/dinner included as part of the course. Residential courses for 3-4 days are also regularly scheduled, and private classes for a group of friends or work colleagues can be booked too. All classes are generally centered around the delights of learning core Piemontese dishes. We also cover wider Italian cuisine in our bespoke cooking classes too. And for those wanting to truly branch out on their skills, our experienced team can also deliver classes for international cuisines including Asian Streetfood, Middle-Eastern, Caribbean, Scandinavian and Turkish! What time should I arrive for my class?We recommend arriving approximately 10 minutes prior to class.

Do I need to bring anything on the day of the class?No, you do not need to bring any tools or resources; all the materials, tools, and ingredients needed for the class will be provided by the school and are included in the fee. You will get an apron to wear during the class and a recipe booklet to take home.

How long does a class last?Our standard class duration, including meal, is approximately 3.5 – 4.0 hours.

Will we be eating after the class?Yes, you will be eating the dishes you prepared after about 2 hours of preparation, in our standard classes. Bespoke classes can include this option or not - the choice is yours.

Can I join a class with food allergies?It is essential that you email us before booking with any food allergies or preferences you may have so we can let you know if the cooking class is suitable for your needs. We will not be able to accommodate special dietary needs without notice on the day because the class and all ingredients are prepared in advance.

What if I need to cancel my booking?Please refer to the cancellation policy associated with your class as it can vary.

Do I need any previous cooking experience to enjoy the class?No previous experience is required! We encourage you to ask questions if there is something you don’t understand.

How do I book a class?Please email us on accademia@adagio-calamandrana.it to book a cooking class in ADAGIO accademia. Your booking is confirmed once we have received full payment. After payment you will receive a confirmation email from us with all the detail of your class.

Do you offer residential courses?Yes! We regularly schedule fuller, 3-4 day classes on a residential basis, with discounted accommodation at our adjoining hotel - Relais Almaranto. For any of our classes, including our single-session classes, you can also still obtain a discounted rate to stay the night before/after your class - contact us to gain 10% off our standard room rates.

How many people will I be with in a cooking class?Classes are typically for between 8-15 attendees, but this will vary depending on the course. Private classes can be for up to 35 attendees.

Do you offer private cooking classes?Yes! Private classes for individuals, small groups of friends or larger groups for team-building activities can be booked. Ask for information.

Can you recommend location accommodation for me stay at whilst attending a cooking class?Of course! Anyone attending one of our cooking classes can receive discounted accommodation at our adjoining hotel - Relais Almaranto. Contact us to gain 10% off our standard room rates. Rooms subject to availability on your class dates - please check in advance to avoid disappointment.
